Error: The DNS hostname (name) is not a valid format.

Cause 

The DNS hostname does not fit the standard format as described in RFC 952.

Resolution

  1. The DNS hostname must fit the standards laid out in RFC 952.  Specifically, only the following characters are acceptable:

    0...9
    a...z
    A...Z
    .
    - (hyphen, not underscore)
