While completing the Configuration Wizard, I see the following error:
Website configuration failed:

  • Failure updating ASP.NET script maps

The ASP.NET script mapping must be updated, as indicated in the following procedure:

  1. If you are installing Orion NPM on a 32-bit server, complete the following steps:
    1. Open a command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt).
    2. Browse to Volume:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\ (enter cd Volume:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\), where Volume: is the volume on which you have installed your local operating system. Typically, this is C:.
    3. At the prompt, enter aspnet_regiis -i
    4. Run the Configuration Wizard again (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard).
  2. If you are installing Orion NPM on a 64-bit server, complete the following steps:
    1. Open a command prompt (Start > All Programs > Accessories >Command Prompt).
    2. Browse to Volume:C:\InetPub\AdminScripts\ (enter cd Volume:C:\InetPub\AdminScripts\), where Volume: is the volume on which you have installed your local operating system. Typically, this is C:.
    3. At the prompt, enter cscript.exe adsutil.vbs set W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32BitAppOnWin64 true
    4. On the same volume, browse to Volume:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\ (enter cd Volume:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.net\Framework\v4.0.30319\).
    5. At the prompt, enter aspnet_regiis -i
    6. Run the Configuration Wizard again (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Configuration and Auto-Discovery > Configuration Wizard).
