Tabs and dashboard are missing after an NPM 12.1 upgrade

Overview

After upgrading to NPM 12.1, the tabs and dashboard are missing from the Web Console

Environment

Resolution

Note: Back up the whole registry before performing these steps.

  1. If you are using TLS 1.1 or 1.2, add the following registry keys to the system that is running IIS: 

    32bit systems [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319] "SchUseStrongCrypto"=dword:00000001

     

    64bit systems [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\v4.0.30319] "SchUseStrongCrypto"=dword:00000001

  2. Using an account with administrator privileges, enter iisreset on the command prompt to restart IIS.
  3. Stop and start all Orion services using the Orion Service Manager.
  4. Close the browser and reopen the SolarWinds Web Console to verify that the tabs and dashboard are displayed. 

 

If the issue still persists, install the Core HotFix 3
