Submit a feature request

This article describes how you can submit a feature request for new features to SolarWinds. Feature requests and votes by you and other SolarWinds users helps SolarWinds plan updates and additions to services and modules. All feature requests can be entered through THWACK. THWACK forums are monitored by our Product Managers. This will allow other customers to voice their opinions as to whether they would find the feature useful.


  • All SolarWinds products


You may post your request to the THWACK forum for the SolarWinds product you wish to see improved.  

  1. Visit a specific product forum here on the THWACK forums:
  2. Create a post titled “FEATURE REQUEST - Name of the Feature Request” and detail your request including case number.

Please be aware that:

  • Developers will decide on whether or not to go ahead with implementation of the feature
  • Developers will decide on the timeline of the release (if they decided to implement the feature)


Support does not update you on whether the feature has been implemented. To see what features are being added to a product, check product blogs on THWACK, product Release Notes, and feature overviews per release. You can search for release notes through this site by product name, version, and "release notes".
