Scheduled report only shows login page

This article addresses the issue where a scheduled report result only displays the SolarWinds login page.


Earlier NPM versions


This can occur when the credentials the report's scheduler manager is using is incorrect.



Verify the following:

  • The login details for the website and server are entered correctly on the wizard.
  • The Username and Password are on the Orion Web Login tab.
  • The domain name is included in the login credentials. For example, TUL\Administrator.

Old Orion versions

On old versions of Orion, Windows Task Scheduler is used to schedule reports. The scheduled tasks are configured to run in user-based contexts and by default in Windows Server 2008, will only run when this user is logged in. In the event that the currently user logged-in is different from the user of the configured task, the scheduled task may not proceed as expected.
