Overview

This article briefly discuses the role of the SQL Agent Service for the Orion database.

Environment

Any Orion product with an MS SQL database

Detail

MS SQL Agent Service takes care of task and job scheduling and execution on the Orion server.  Orion's normal read/write to the db and db maintenance that run each day do not require this service. It may be turned on or off.
