Overview

Failure when adding a node with SNMPv3.

SNMP Walk on SNMPv3 devices is also failing.

 

Environment

​All NPM versions

Cause 

The Access List (ACL) for network devices is not updated with the new IP address/es.

Resolution

  1. Verify that the access list for the network devices have all the updated IP addresses. 
    Note: If the IP address are not updated, you will not be able to authenticate SNMPv3 or execute an SNMP Walk.
  2. Updatethe Access Lists (ACL).
  3. Add Node and do a test.
