Overview

Below article describes how to set blank out the password for user account on the Orion Web Console. It also enables the accoutn in case it was previously disabled. Steps provided below require permanent changes to database, make sure to backup database prior to following below instructions.

Environment

  • Orion Platform 2013.1 and above

Steps

  1. Open Orion database in either Orion Database Manager or SQL Server Management Studio
  2. Use below query to reset password to blank for the specified user - replace USER-NAME with actual user name. Additionally query enables the account in case it was disabled.
     
UPDATE [Accounts]
SET [Password]='108-3134095-0235-8722',
    [AccountEnabled] = 'Y',
    [PasswordHash]='/+PA4Zck3arkLA7iwWIugnAEoq4ocRsYjF7lzgQWvJc+pepPz2a5z/L1Pz3c366Y/CasJIa7enKFDPJCWNiKRg=='
WHERE [AccountID]='USER-NAME'
