This article describes how to reset the Orion default admin password.

All Orion Platform versions

  1. Go Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features >  and open Database Manager.
  2. Click Add Default Server.
  3. Right click on the Orion database in question (default is SolarwindsNPM or NetperfMon) and select New Query.
  4. Paste the following SQL query:
    UPDATE Accounts
    SET Password = '141-714535866--077994'
    WHERE AccountID = 'Admin'

  5. Click Execute Query.
  6. The Admin password should now be empty and you can log in to the Web Console by leaving the Password field empty.
