Overview

This article provides steps on how to remove leftover resources from Orion Web Console after uninstalling a product.

Environment

NPM 11.5.3 and later

Steps

Using your Orion Web Console:
1. Go to Settings > Manage Views > click on the view.
2. Click Edit

You can remove the resources one by one from the views.

The second approach is to go to the Orion Database Manager(database backup would be advised just in case):
1. Click Add default server.
2. Expand the server.
3. Expand the database.
4. Here is an example script/steps below for removing SAM Module resources after the module is uninstalled

First confirm APM(SAM) views are there in the database.

SELECT * FROM [dbo].[Resources]
where resourcefile like '%APM%'

Once you confirm that the select query has worked correctly, use the query below:

delete FROM [dbo].[Resources]
where resourcefile like '%APM%'

This removes the resources in bulk.
