Remove an SMTP server from an alert email action

Overview

This article describes how to remove a decommissioned SMTP server from an alert email action. 

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Open the Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to Settings > Manage SMTP Servers.
  3. Remove the SMTP server that has been decommissioned.
  4. Go to Settings > Manage Alerts > Action Manager tab.
  5. In the Group by field, select Action Type.
  6. Select the Send an Email/Page Action Type.
  7. Select the box next to the Action Name column header.
  8. Click the Select all Actions option in red.
  9. Click Edit Action.
  10. Expand SMTP Server and select the Name of SMTP Server box.
  11. Set up a new server or use the menu to select the new SMTP server.
  12. Click Save Changes.
