Remove Alerts and Activity, Reports and Settings button from the Orion Web Console

Overview

You want to prevent access to another user account for the following on the upper left corner of you Orion Web Console:

  • My Dashboard settings
  • Alerts & Activity
  • reports and
  • Settings section

Environment

  • NPM 12
  • NCM 7.5
  • SAM 6.2.4

Steps

 

  1. Go to the individual account that you want to edit by going to Settings > All Settings > Manage Accounts.
  2. Edit the following settings:
    • Allow Administrator Rights - No
    • Allow Alert Management Rights - No
    • Alert Limitation Category - No Limitation
    • Allow Account to Customize Views - No
    • Allow Account to Disable Actions - No
    • Allow Account to Disable Alerts - No
    • Allow Account to Disable All Actions - No
    • Allow Account to Clear Events, Acknowledge Alerts and Syslogs - No
    • HomeTab Menu Bar - None
    • NetworkTab Menu Bar - None
    • ApplicationsTab Menu Bar - None
    • ConfigsTab Menu Bar - None
    • Show Alerts Menu - No
    • Show Events Menu - No
    • Show Syslog Menu - No
    • Show Traps Menu - No
    • Show Message Center Menu - No
    • Show Reports Menu - No
       
  3. Click Submit to finish.
  4. Then login using the account you modify.
