Overview

Customer excluded two volumes from their nodes based on Geo location custom property, however those volumes still producing alerts even after being excluded.

Environment

  • NPM 11.5

Cause

This seems to only work if using "Volume Name" to filter out the excluded Volumes and does not work if used "Volume ID"

Resolution

I have simulated similar logic on my Test VM(NPM 11.5.3) to exclude a particular node from generating alert for volumes on those nodes and it worked for me did not get any alerts for the excluded volumes. However, this seems to only work if I use "Volume Name" to filter out the excluded Volumes and does not work if I use "Volume ID"

Please do the following, if the above does not fix:
1. Login to Orion web Console
2. Go to Alerts -> Manage Alerts
3. Search for the alert you created for this scenario and click on the green "ON"(Screenshot attached) to turn if off and then turn it back on.
