Pull-down lists in Alert Trigger Conditions are empty

Overview

This article addresses a scenario where the Pull-Down lists in all alert conditions are empty.

Environment

All Orion modules

Cause 

This occurs when there is a problem with a SWIS entity.

 

Error in OrionWeb.log

Error when calling action on url: http://solarwinds/api/ExpressionBuilderData/GetGroups.

System.NullreferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

   at SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Common.InformationService.SwisSchemaProvider.<>_DisplayClass27_0.<IsInBlackList>b__0

Resolution

  1. Open an elevated CMD window on the Orion host.
  2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Solarwinds\Orion\
  3. Run the following command:
    ConfigurationWizard.exe /repair
  4. When the Configuration Wizard prompts for what to repair, select all options and click Next.
  5. Click Next until the Wizard completes.
