Poll for F5 iControl - Invalid SSL certificate

Updated: August 1, 2016

Overview

This article describes the issue where adding F5 node and selecting poll for F5 iControl result to an error and you receive the following prompt after selecting "ACCEPT CERTIFICATE":

Connection attempt failed!
Invalid SSL certificate.

One or more tests failed because of invalid SSL certificates. Install valid SSL certificates for F5 iControl, or click [Accespt Certificate] to create a security exception for the certificates. Solarwinds recommends that you install a calid SSL certificate for F5 iControl.

Warning: Accepting invalid SSL certificates is a possible security issue. Use the button only if the connection between polling engines and the F5 device is secure.
