Percent Utilization - Line Chart: Data is not available

Overview

The following error appears in Orion when attempting to display a Line Chart for Percent Utilization for one or more interfaces:

There is also no Interface Bandwidth listed for the same interface:

Environment

NPM 11 and later

Cause 

The ifSpeed value is missing from the device OIDs.  The Interface must provide ifSpeed under the device OIDs and only then can the Interface bandwidth and utilization be calculated based on the provided values .

The following is an example where two of the interfaces are missing the ifSpeed value:

Resolution

  1. On the Interface Details page, click Edit Interface.

  2. Set the values for the following:

    • Transmit Bandwidth: 100 Mb/s

    • Receive Bandwidth: 100 Mb/s
