Detail

Orion only stores database connection information (including username and password) locally on the server. The connection string, containing this information, is kept in the following file(s):

C:\inetpub\SolarWinds\SWNetPerfMon.db

C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\SWNetPerfMon.db

Notes:

  • These are default locations.
  • The current version encrypt the password as well (since Core 2013).
