  1. What is the Orion SDK?

    An installable package containing documentation, samples, and tools to help users take advantage of the Orion API. SDK stands for "Software Development Kit".
     
  2. What is the Orion API?

    The SolarWinds SolarWinds Information Service (SWIS) and the product schemas exposed through it. API stands for "Application Programming Interface".
     
  3. Where can I get the SDK?
     
    1. GitHub: https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK/releases
    2. You can use the Chocolatey package "orionsdk". If you have the Chocolatey package manager installed, cinst orionsdk will download and install the latest version silently.
       
  4. Where can I get SDK support?

    The Orion SDK is supported through the Thwack Community only. Please check below link:

Usage example(s)

Below are examples on how to use Orion SDK to accomplish certain tasks (if you come across this article please add more examples).

  1. How to remove nodes from NCM?

    The relevant verbs are Cirrus.Nodes.RemoveNode (takes a single NCM NodeID value in Guid form) and Cirrus.Nodes.RemoveNodes (takes set of NCM NodeID values in List<Guid> form).
     
  2. How to create account?

    The relevant verb is CreateAccount.
