Fixed issues

This hotfix addresses an issue where the Configuration Wizard fails with the following message:

Database configuration failed: Error while Executing script- Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =,!== orwhen the subquery is used as an expression.

This hotfix is cumulative with Orion Platform 2016.1 Hotfix 1.

Environment

Apply this hotfix if you run any of the following SolarWinds products:

  • NPM 12.0
  • SAM 6.2.4
  • NCM 7.5.0
  • SRM 6.3
  • UDT 3.2.4
  • VNQM 4.2.4
  • IVIM 2.1.2

Notes

  • This hotfix requires SolarWinds Orion Core 2016.1.
  • This hotfix must be installed on the main polling engine, on any additional polling engines, and additional web servers.
  • This hotfix addresses the described issues for all SolarWinds Orion Platform products. 

Installation instructions

  1. Download the hotfix from your Customer Portal.

  2. Log in to the server hosting your SolarWinds Orion installation as an administrator.

  3. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.

  4. Run OrionPlatform-v2016.1.5300-HotFix2.exe, and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.

    After applying this fix, the issues outlined in the description should no longer occur.

Uninstallation instructions

  1. Log in to the server hosting your SolarWinds Orion installation as an administrator.
  2. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.
  3. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates.
  4. Select "Update for SolarWinds Orion Core Services 2016.1 v116.1.1043.5300 (HotFix2)", click Uninstall, and complete the uninstallation wizard.
