Fixed issues

This hotfix addresses the following issues:

  • All Groups resource with edited resource properties is empty after the upgrade.
  • Editing a custom property results in an exception.
  • When scheduling a discovery, only a part of the date and time information is displayed in the UI.

Environment

Apply this hotfix if you run any of the following SolarWinds products:

  • NPM 12.0
  • SAM 6.2.4
  • NCM 7.5.0
  • SRM 6.3
  • UDT 3.2.4
  • VNQM 4.2.4

Notes

  • This hotfix requires SolarWinds Orion Core 2016.1.
  • This hotfix must be installed on the main poller, on any additional pollers, and webservers.
  • This hotfix addresses the described issues for all SolarWinds Orion Platform products. 

Installation instructions

You can download the hotfix at http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/OrionPlatform-v2016.1-MSP-HotFix1.zip.

  1. Log in to the server hosting your SolarWinds Orion installation as an administrator.

  2. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.

  3. Run OrionPlatform-v2016.1.5300-HotFix1.exe, and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.

After applying this fix, the issues outlined in the description should no longer occur.

Uninstallation instructions

  1. Log in to the server hosting your SolarWinds Orion installation as an administrator.
  2. Run the Orion Service Manager, click Shutdown Everything, and close the Orion Service Manager.
  3. Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > View installed updates.
  4. Select "Update for SolarWinds Orion Core Services 2016.1 v116.1.1036.5300 (HotFix1)", click Uninstall, and complete the uninstallation wizard.
