Overview

This article provides brief information on when Windows Server display as Node Down when its local Firewall (Windows Firewall) is turned on.

Detail

Regardless if it is, this is polled via SNMP or WMI, the Node status is based off of ICMP.

 

Check if the file and printer sharing ICMPv4 is enabled. Also for Windows nodes, when using WMI, we also wan the WMI-in rule enabled for polling for ICMP + WMI.
