Node is missing one or more volumes

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when a node is missing one or more volumes.


Any Orion Module


The volume poller is missing. To verify this:

  1. Open the Details page of the node in question.
  2. Note the number at the very end of the URL ( for example, ...?NetObject=N:##).
  3. On the system hosting the Orion installation, open Solarwinds Database Manager.
  4. Click Add Default Server and submit the following query:
    select * from Pollers where NetObjectID = '##' and PollerType like 'V.%'
    ***Where ## is the noted ID for the Node.
  5. If nothing appears, the volume poller does not exist.


  1. Open the Node's settings page.
  2. Click List Resources.
  3. Deselect Volume Utilisation.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Go back to List Resources.
  6. Select all the volumes that you require to monitor.
  7. Click Submit.
