New ICMP node not polling data in NPM

Overview

This article addresses the issue where a newly-added ICMP node is not collecting availability data.

The following error may also appear in the Collector logs:

ERROR SolarWinds.Collector.Scheduler.ScheduledTask - CheckConfigManager threw an exception.
System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

Environment

NPM 10.7

 

Resolution

This can be resolved by upgrading to a new version of NPM. If you are unable to upgrade NPM, download and apply NPM 10.7 HotFix 9 from the SolarWinds Customer Portal.
