You are trying to open the Advanced Alert Manager from the Orion Server by navigating 

Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Advanced Feature > Advanced Alert Manager and received following Error 


Network Error (dns_unresolved_hostname)

Your requested host "segotn12753" could not be resolved by DNS

For assistance, contact your network support team. 


  • NPM 11.0 and above 


The reason Website bindings are changed directly on the Orion IIS website for example HTTPS port which is not been updated in the Websites table . 


Because the Advanced Alert Manager is been pointed to the Website URL under Websites table which is not updated for the IIS bindings 


You  can use the Alerts directly logging on the Orion Web Console > Alerts > Manage Alerts as the website is still available on the customize port which you have modified .
