Overview

Users may find that the L2 connections for some devices do not show in the Network Atlas.

Environment

NPM versions 11 and 12

Cause

The issue is caused by problems with calculation of the Connect Now function.

Resolution

1.  Edit the file calculation.cfg   found in c:\programfiles(x86)\solarwinds\orion):
    Find line: <string>RemoveLinksToBridge</string>
    and delete it.
2. Run SolarWinds.Orion.Topology.Calculator.exe (also present in the same Orion directory).

Verify results in the Network Atlas after re-opening the map and using the Connect Now function..
