Netpath fails to install

Overview

On some primary pollers, netpath will not install and there will be no error that it did not. The installer file will also not be put into the programdata\solarwinds\installers folder.  The issue will express itself primarily on additional pollers and web servers during Configuration Wizard when they will not be able to find netpath tables that are set up in the db during the Configuration Wizard on primary. The primary server will not give any errors to indicate that this is an issue.

NPM v12

Resolution

  1. Acquire netpathinstaller.msi from any Orion v12.0 install.
  2. Manually install the msi file.
  3. Run Configuration Wizard.
