Overview

This article describes the issue when NetPath Services page is stuck in a continuous loading screen.

Environment

  • Orion Core 2016 +
  • NPM 12+

Cause

Please first ensure the browser cache is cleared as this can be caused by client side caching issues.

Alternatively, this is due to an installation of NetPath that was blocked due to security policies applied to the machine.

Resolution

Check to see if you can see NetPath from the list of installed Programs in Control Panel.

If NetPath is not present on the above list please, follow the below steps:

  1. Locate the Installer for NPM 12 or download the same version currently installed from the Customer Portal.
  2. Run the NPM 12 installer and allow it fully extract and open to the following screen.

  3. From the start menu, select Run and type %temp%.

This will bring you to the temp folder where SolarWwinds installers and subinstallers are held during the installer phase.
  4. Sort the Directory by Date Modified and double-click the newest SWOrionSetup. This may or may not have numbers in the filename depending on the number of Installs that have been completed on this machine.

  5. Click SubInstallers and copy and paste the NetPath Installer(s) to your desktop.
  6. Run the NetPathInstaller.msi file as administrator and complete the Configuration Wizard.
  7. Once the Configuration wizard completes, open the NetPath services page again.
