NetPath Services page is grayed out

Overview

The NetPath Services page is grayed out or you are logged out of the Orion Web Console when trying to access NetPath Services.

Environment

  • NPM 12.1 and later

Cause 

You have customized the Authentication settings for the SolarWinds website, and disabled Anonymous Authentication.

Resolution

Revert IIS settings to default values:

  1. Log in to your Orion platform server and start the IIS Manager.
  2. Navigate to the SolarWinds NetPerfMon page, and double-click Authentication in the IIS grouping.
  3. Set Anonymous Authentication back to Enabled.

  4. Restart IIS, for example by right-clicking SolarWinds NetPerfMon > Manage Website > Restart.

You can open the NetPath Services page without issues.
