How to Enable Network Insight for Cisco NEXUS - Video

  1. To monitor network insight for Cisco Nexus, go to Settings and then Manage Nodes.
  2. Add a Node, enter the IP address, and the Community String.
  3. Test to validate. Next.
  4. This shows up as a Nexus. So, we can just go to the next. For the Nexus, we do not need universal device pollers. Check the box to enable CLI polling.
  5. Enter the Username, Password, and the Enable Password and Test.
  6. Then Add Node.
  7. When a Nexus finishes its polling cycle, you will get additional details including the virtual port channels or vPCs. The vPC32 shows that it's part of port channel 31 with two member interfaces, but we don't see the far side. All you have to do is go back and add that Nexus device and it will populate on both sides.
