SolarWinds NPM and your SolarWinds Orion database must use separate servers.

  • Support for Windows Server 2008 R2 is deprecated as of this release. Future releases will no longer support installing on Windows Server 2008 R2, though you can continue to monitor computers running Windows Server 2008 R2.
  • Support for SQL 2008 and 2008 R2 is deprecated as of this release. Future releases will no longer support using SQL 2008 or 2008 R2 as your database server.
  • Multiple  installations using the same database are not supported.
