+ License NPM

How is NPM licensed?

To manage licenses (activate, upgrade or move licenses), NPM uses the web-based License Manager.

+ Manage devices

Assign custom pollers to monitored devices.

To find out how to add or discover devices for monitoring, see the section on adding devices in the Orion Platform section.

+ Manage interfaces

View interface status, suspend collecting interface data or triggering alerts.

+ NetPath

Automatically create a map of the problem area, and display the performance details of devices inside and outside your network.

+ Network Insight for F5 BIG-IP

Monitor load balancers and load balanced services with NPM.

+ Network Insight for Cisco ASA firewalls

Monitor load balancers and load balanced services with NPM.

+ Cisco SwitchStack and UCS

View the health of Cisco SwitchStack members, monitor their power and data connections. Monitor Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS).

+ EnergyWise

Monitor the energy expended on your network and energy savings provided by EnergyWise-enabled devices.

+ Wireless networks

Monitor wireless access points and controllers. Monitor Meraki organizations with NPM.

+ Capacity forecasting

Monitor capacity usage trends on the network and forecast capacity issues.

+ ServiceNow

Automatically open ServiceNow tickets based on critical events defined in your SolarWinds NPM.

+ Custom monitors (UnDP and Device Studio)

Extend monitoring to non-standard devices by creating custom pollers.

Cannot decide whether UnDP or Device Studio? See Create custom monitors.

+ NPM Thresholds

Edit thresholds for Cisco buffer misses, interface errors and discards, interface percent utilization, or flapping routes.

+ Wireless heat maps

Visualize wireless signal coverage on a building floor plan for monitored Cisco wireless controllers.
