Move a report from one Report Limitation category to another

Table of contents

This article describes how to move a web based report from one Report Limitation category to another.

  • NPM 11.5.3
  • NPM 12.0

The account which you are using has to have the Report Limitation category assigned in order for you to see the category on the drop-down list. However, you cannot see the report you want to change at the same time as the account can be a subject to only ONE Report Limitation category at the same time. You have to switch account settings in the middle of editing report to move report from one Report Limitation Category to another.

  1. Open two tabs in your browser: one for editing the report, another one for editing your admin account.
  2. Edit the settings of the account which you are currently using. In the account setting page, change "Report Limitation Category" and set the category from which you want to change.
  3. In separate browser tab, click Manage Reports. Select the report you want to move and edit it.
  4. On the report edit page, click Next until you get to page when you select limitation from drop-down list.
  5. Switch to the web browser tab where you edit your admin account and update Report Limitation Category to the category to which you want to change. Save the changes.
  6. Reload the "Edit Report" page and you will see your "destination" category on the drop-down list.
