Mount point volumes showing unknown in Web Console

Mount Point Volumes Show Unknown in the Web console and no data is being polled.


  • All NPM and SAM environments that deal with VMan integration


Run the following query on the Database:

UPDATE Settings SET CurrentValue=0 WHERE SettingID='Orion_Volumes_PollDiskDriveDetails'


This issue is because of a problem with VMan integration and will only affect WinXP, Win 2000 and Win 2003 systems. Volume mount point polling will be fine unless you disable/enable or vice versa VMan integration from some reason. In that you would need to run the previous sql query again.

The bug is known and can be reproduced when VMan integration is turned on and only volumes on WinXP, Win 2000 and Win 2003 should suffer from this problem.
