Below article describes how to monitor status of ASA failover nodes status. According to vendor (Cisco) values expected are as follows:
Start Universal Device Poller (UnDP)
Create new poller using following OID(s):
PRIMARY: 188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168 (Primary)
SECONDARY: 22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206 (Secondary)
If the OID's don't work run an SNMP walk on the device and use 220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168.22.214.171.124.1.1.3 as a search to figure out what the last value is on the device.
Universal Device Poller Example should look like this:
5. Make sure to set SNMP Get Type to GET since default for these OID(s) is GET TABLE
6. When setting up the Alert this is for when the Primary Fails over to Secondary so an Alert will fire:
7. The value you can see is 10 for Standby per Cisco Documentation above. The OID is also the Custom poller that was created.
8. If you want to get a reset when the secondary fails over back to the primary you can do this with he reset action email.
