Overview

Members are deleted from groups after any Orion product upgrade that includes Orion Core 2015.1.2.

Environment

Any upgrade involving Orion Core 2015.1.2

Cause

Orion Core 2015.1.2 includes a change in datatypes used in tables related to groups that affects group members.

Resolution

Use the Events table to track the affected groups at the time of the upgrade by executing the following SQL query:

SELECT TOP 2000 * FROM Events WHERE NetObjectType LIKE '%C%' AND EventTime >= '<Date_and_time_of_Upgrade>'

for example

SELECT TOP 2000 * FROM Events WHERE NetObjectType LIKE '%C%' AND EventTime >= '06/06/2015 12:00:00 AM'

The query will show entries where members were removed from a group and not re-added. The normal behavior in the 2015.1.2 upgrade should be for group members to be removed and re-added.
