Map Icons do not display on APE web console

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when Map Icons do not display on the Additional Polling Engine (APE) web console, but appear on Main Polling Engine (MPE) web console and Network Atlas.

 

MPE & Atlas (Icons):

 

APE (No Icons):

Environment

NPM version 11.5.X

Cause 

The issue is caused by permission limitations. 

Resolution

Note: Network Services must have full permissions on the root of the volume of the APE install.

  1. Right-click on volume > Properties > Security > Edit > Add.
  2. Type network service.
  3. Select Check Names, and then click OK.
  4. Select  Allow next to the Full Control button, and then click OK.
  5.  Accept prompts about changing permissions.
  6. Reload APE Web console.
