Manually running Scheduled Reports: Failed

Overview

This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the following error when Scheduled Reports in Orion fail:

Schedule Weekly down Report - Failed

 

 

 

Environment

All NPM versions

 

Cause 

The error is caused when SMTP Server in Orion does not have proper authentication credentials.

 

Resolution

  1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion and locate ActionsExecutionReport.log.
  2.  Open the file using a text editor.
    You should have something similar to this:

3. Open Orion Console > Settings > Manage SMTP Servers.

4. Select This SMTP server requires authentication.

5. Edit it, and provide the correct credentials. See below:

 

 

6. Click Save.
