Overview

This article provides brief information on the polling limitations of Cisco Thin Access Points for CPU or Memory utilization

when SNMP is not supported. 

Environment

All NPM versions

Detail

If the device does not support SNMP,  there will not be any way that NPM can get the CPU/Memory/Temperature details for the device.

 

Using Universal Device Pollers (UnDPs) to poll the data from the WLC (Wireless LAN Controller), if available, will not resolve the issue as the APs get different indexes when they move from one WLC to another.

 

In summary, it is not possible to poll CPU, Memory, Temperature, etc from Thin Access Points.
