Limit an Orion Web Console user account to a custom view

Overview

This article describes how to customize and limit a view in the Orion web interface for a specific account. 

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

Create a custom view page

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console as an administrator.
  2. Click Settings > Views > Manage Views. 
  3. Click (+) to create a customized view.

Assign the custom view to a user account

  1. Click Settings > under User Accounts, click Manage Accounts. 
  2. Select the check box next to your desired account and click Edit. 
  3. Under Menu Bar and Views, click Customize Menu Bars.
  4. Edit the menu bars for each type of account.
  5. Drag your related view page to the Selected items column, and click Submit.
  6. Return to the Edit Account page.
  7. Assign the menu bars by clicking Customize Menu Bars. 
  8. Edit the menu bars for each type of account (as required.)
  9. Drag your new page to the Selected items column, then click Submit.
  10. Return to the Edit Account page and assign the menu bar you customized in an earlier step.
  11. Click Submit.
