Disable DynamicIP for all nodes

Updated February 21, 2018

This article provides steps on how to disable DynamicIP address option, which was enabled while importing nodes when completing the Discovery wizard in NPM. There are no past cases where this issue has been reported

  1. Node details view when Dynamic IP / DHCP Enabled
  2. Node details view when Dynamic IP / DHCP Disabled

  • NPM 12.2

Most likely caused by a user making a wrong selection.

  1. Login to the Orion Server > Launch Orion DB Manager.
  2. Run the query SELECT TOP 1000 * FROM [dbo].[Nodes] and locate the column DynamicIP. If there is check mark, then it is enabled.
  3. Backup the Orion database. Take a snapshot before making any changes.
  4. Run the SQL query UPDATE [dbo].[Nodes] SET DynamicIP = 'False' WHERE DynamicIP = 'True'.
