Where to find the SolarWinds MIB and how to define the OIDs and traps

Overview

Step by step instructions for finding the MIBs so that you can update the OIDs and traps for the NPM and Toolset products.

 

Environment

  • All versions of Orion Network Performance Monitor
  • All versions of Toolset

Detail

The SolarWinds MIB, named MIBs.cfg, is located in the default location C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds on your Orion NPM server.

 

The following files in the default location C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds on your Orion NPM server define SolarWinds OIDs:

  • SolarWinds-Products.mib defines OIDs for SolarWinds products.
  • SolarWinds-Traps.mib provides a template, including OIDS, for defining traps.
