Overview

This article addresses the issue where the following error occurs while updating an existing AD account in Orion NPM by changing/renaming the account name in AD and in NPM:

Unexpected Website Error

The settings property 'AccountType' was not found.

 

Environment

NPM 11.0 and later

Cause 

This occurs when the SID for the AD group is the same.

Resolution

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Accounts > Manage Group Account.
  2. Select the old AD account.
  3. Delete.
  4. Add the new (renamed) AD account.
