Unable to use radial gauge with tabular UnDP

Overview

Tabular Universal Device Poller (UnDP) cannot be assigned to a radial gauge on the Orion Web Console.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

It is not possible to assign a tabular UnDP to a radial gauge as by their nature, tabular UnDPs return multiple results and it is not possible to show multiple results on a radial gauge.

However, one row at a time may be able to be displayed as a gauge.

Resolution

Use a table [Tabular Universal Device Poller] or a chart [Universal Device Poller Chart]. For more information, refer to the NPM Administrator Guide.

You can try adding the row ID as one more digit to the end of the OID (.x). Then edit the UnDP advanced properties and select get or get next. This will allow the gauge column to be an active selection.
