Overview

Unable to see vmware disk values on NPM. The Disk Volumes and Top CPU's PercentLoad sections are blank.

Environment

NPM 11.0 and later

Cause

  • The device is not configured for SNMP.
  • In order to monitor ESX Disks & CPU Percentage, you must be polled through SNMP. Only then Orion will be able to poll the status for Disks / CPU under list recourse.

Resolution

  1. Edit the Node.
  2. Under Polling Method, select Most Devices: SNMP and ICMP.
  3. Click Test.
  4. Select List Recourse.
  5. Select the CPU / Memory / Disks you wish to monitor and then click OK.
