Overview

The following error is displayed when submitting changes from List Resources on a node:

Unexpected Website Error
This view type (NodeDetails) requires a net object and none has been specified.

Environment

  • NPM 12.0.1 and later
  • SAM 6.3 and later
  • VIM 7.0 and later

Cause 

The SolarWinds Recommendations Engine service is stopped or disabled while the VMAN integration is enabled.

Resolution

  1. Establish a remote connection to the Orion server.
  2. Click Run and enter Services.msc.
  3. Locate and start the SolarWinds Recommendation Engine service.
  4. If the Start option is not available:
    1. Right-click on Service > Properties.
    2. Change the Startup Type to Automatic.
    3. Start the service.
