Overview

The following error message occurs when trying to export the vital statistics of a device into a PDF file in NPM:

There was an error trying to export the page to PDF, please try again later.

The following error message is found in the log report:

ERROR ASP.orion_exporttopdf_aspx - Unable to convert html into PDF file.System.Exception: License '4189502131' is not valid for this build.

Environment

  • NPM 11.5.2

Cause 

The PDF conversion template file is corrupted.  

Resolution

Delete the PDF conversion template file ExportToPDF.aspx.cs, and then run the Configuration Wizard to re-build the file.

    1. Create a backup of the following file:
        c:\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\ExportToPDF.aspx.cs
    2. Move the backup file to a different location out of the Inetpub folder.
    3. Delete the original file from the Inetpub folder.
    4. Run the Configuration Wizard - Running Configuration Wizard and verify the PDF
