Overview

This article explains how to fix the issue when the machine type of a Hyper-V Host is not presented as Hyper-V Server on the Web Console. It is presented as Windows Server node.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

This is caused when the discovery process does not recognise the machine as Hyper-V host.

Resolution

  1. On Web Console, go to node details of the node.
  2. Click List Resources.
  3. Tick the check box "Hyper-V Server".
  4. Click Submit.
