The Agent Deployment process fails on the target servers

Overview

The Agent Deployment process is failing on the target servers. The following log or event errors are showing in the system log:


Error 1:
The description for Event ID 10837 from source MsiInstaller cannot be found. Either the component that
raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted.
You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
Error 2:
Product: OUR PRODUCT NAME - The requested information cannot be completed.
The computer must be trusted for delegation and the current user account must be configured to allow delegation.

Environment

NPM v11.0 

Cause

These log or event errors are caused by a Microsoft security update patch (KB2918614) installed in Windows 2008 boxes.

Resolution

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
2. Search for KB2918614 and click Uninstall.
3. Reboot the server.

4. Check that the Remove Agent Deployment is running successfully.
