Syslog is missing on Service Manager

Overview

Syslog is missing on Services and Service Manager and the following error appears:

Services configuration failed:

  • Error stopping service (SolarWindsSyslogService). Cannot stop SolarWindsSyslogService service on computer
  • Error stopping service (SolarWindsSyslogService). Cannot open SolarWindsSyslogService service on computer
  • Error stopping service (SolarWindsSyslogService). Service SolarWindsSyslogService was not found on computer

 

Environment

  • NPM 11.5.2
  • NPM 11.5.3

Steps

  1. Stop all services.
  2. Run Configuration Wizard.
  3. Select Services then Syslog Services.
  4. Start all services.
  5. Select Servces if Syslog is there.
  6. Select Service Manager if Syslog is there.
  7. Test if Syslog is working if the Syslog Events are updating.
