Set interface bandwidth

This article provides steps to set the interface bandwidth. 


NPM version 11.5.x


  1. Log in to the Orion Console.
  2. Go to the interface details page.
  3. Click Edit Interface.
  4. Select Custom Bandwidth.
  5. Set the transmit bandwidth and receive bandwidth
  6. Click Submit.


Another option especially if you have to set a custom bandwidth on a number of interfaces is to do the following:

  1. Log in to the Orion Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings -> Manage Nodes
  3. Select the interfaces you need to modify
  4. Click on Edit Properties
  5. Select Custom Bandwidth
  6. Set the transmit bandwidth and receive bandwidth
  7. Click Submit



Sample Bulk Change ALL records to 100Mb/s SQL Query Example. ('where interfaceid<1'  must be changed to your own specs)


-- SELECT fullname,custombandwidth, InBandwidth, OutBandwidth, * FROM [dbo].[Interfaces] order by nodeid  where interfaceid<1

-- update interfaces set custombandwidth = 1, InBandwidth = 100000000, OutBandwidth = 100000000 where interfaceid <1
